ASA LeadershipThe Association of Surgical Assistants Board of Directors consists of a president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and five directors who are elected by their fellow members in the fall and are announced at the annual meeting, each serving a two-year term of office. ASA depends upon the expertise of members to meet the goals of our Strategic Plan. You have the ability to be involved and to be an influential voice in issues related to achieving the mission and vision of ASA. Willingness to serve on the ASA Board of Directors and becoming involved with its committees, work groups, projects and events is your first step in beginning your journey to personal and professional fulfillment. The Treasurer will bear responsibility to assure that all association funds
be collected, safeguarded, disbursed, and accounted for in a manner determined
by the board. The Treasurer will supervise the preparation of the semi-annual
reports on the financial status of the association at the mid-year meeting of the
BOD and to the membership at the annual business meeting.
